Before Rise & Pine was ever a candle company, it was simply time spent outside.

For us weekends have always meant hiking trails, packing up the car for a National Park trip, or finding a quiet stretch of woods to wander. Fresh air, pine needles underfoot, the smell of sun-warmed earth after rain. Those small sensory moments are what reset us and bring us back to ourselves.

Over time, we realized those same moments were also shaping the scents we loved most.

When we start developing new candles, we often think back to specific places we’ve explored: a quiet forest hike, a breezy overlook, or that first warm day when everything starts to bloom again. We ask ourselves, How would this place smell? How would it feel to bring it home? From there, we blend fragrances that capture those notes—fresh greens, soft florals, woods, citrus, and earth—scents that feel grounded, natural, and calming.

Our spring collection especially reflects that connection.

Spring on the trail is one of our favorite seasons. Everything feels lighter and new. Budding trees, open windows, longer days, fresh starts. For this launch, we leaned into those clean, uplifting scents that remind us of early hikes, blooming landscapes, and letting the house fill with fresh air after a long winter.
